At Heronswood, we strive to make the time our children spend at school as fun, exciting, engaging and as memorable as possible. We recognise that children learn best when they have an emotional connection to the activities they are participating in. We do this through a stimulating, vibrant curriculum but also by bringing in outside people and by taking the children out on trips and visits.

  Year Three have been inspired by 'The Lost Words' and are using colour to enhance their descriptions of different animals.

  

• Evergreen Launch Day!

  Our Evergreen Project providing 1:1 devices for children in Years 1-6 has officially launched today! Children have been full of enthusiasm and shown great responsibility looking after their iPads. We are looking forward to sharing more information and answering any questions you have at our Showcase Sessions on Wednesday 24th April at 2pm and 5.30pm.

  As Listeners and Speakers, Year 4 are having lots of discussions in lessons today to share their opinions and listen to others. Today is 'Talking Tuesday'!

  We love seeing the work you do at home too! In Year 3 we have looked at sculptors in our Art lessons. This pupil has made his own sculptures out of clay at home! How amazing!
