Heronswood Tots is our Pre-School for two-year-olds.  It is situated within a purpose-built classroom and is part of Heronswood Primary School. Heronswood Tots focuses on providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children aged 2-3.  We prioritise supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through play-based learning experiences.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, which includes activities and experiences that promote communication and language development.  Our range of experiences cater for the individual needs and interests of each child. This includes storytelling, art and craft, construction, phonics, music and movement, outdoor play, and role-play; ensuring our children are exposed to a wide and balanced curriculum. We also promote the development of early literacy and numeracy skills, preparing children for their transition to Pre-School and then Primary School.

The staff at Heronswood Tots are highly experienced in early childhood education, ensuring that each child receives the appropriate support and guidance in their personalised learning journey. They work in partnership with parents and carers to provide a holistic approach to children's development, and regular communication is maintained to keep parents and carers informed about their child's progress.  Our staff encourage and develop warm relationships which enable children to flourish and grow whilst developing their personal skills, communication skills and social skills; preparing them fully for their transition to primary school.

Morning Session – 8:30am – 11:45am (3 ^1/4 Hours )  =  £22.75

Afternoon Session – 11:45am – 3:00pm (3 ^1/4 Hours)  =  £22.75

Full Day Session – 8:30am – 3:00pm (6 ½ Hours)  =  £45.50

Friday Afternoon Session - 12:30pm-3:00pm (2 ¾ Hours) = £17.50

At Heronswood Tots we offer:

- Funding for 2 year olds accepted 15 hours per week (This will change in line with Government changes)

- Wrap around care can also be accessed in school from 7:30am – 6:00pm (Before and After School Club)

- Holiday Club open every holiday except for Christmas - 8:00am-5:00pm (£42 per day)
