Heronswood Primary School and Pre-School
At Heronswood, we strive to make the time our children spend at school as fun, exciting, engaging and as memorable as possible. We recognise that children learn best when they have an emotional connection to the activities they are participating in. We do this through a stimulating, vibrant curriculum but also by bringing in outside people and by taking the children out on trips and visits.

Happy Earth Day! Year 4 have been practising their oracy skills and debating. We have read Bloom and talked about the theme this year of 'Planets vs Plastics'.
Year 4 had a really thoughtful discussion during Talking Tuesday this morning. Mostly, we thought that what you think about yourself is more important but there were some great conversations about what your friends/family think of you and how sometimes you can learn from what they say. What do you think?
As part of Talking Tuesday, Year 4 children get to perform poems from this fantastic book.
