Classes
In total we have 15 classes across the school. Three in the Early Years, four in Key Stage 1 and eight in Key Stage 2. Each class has a class teacher and a teaching assistant.
Early Years is made up of three classes, one Pre-School and two Reception and they cater for our youngest children from the age of three. Key Stage 1 is made up of four classes and this includes all of the children who are in Year 1 and Year 2. The children are all aged between 5 and 7. Key stage 2 is made up of eight classes and this comprises of all the children who are in Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6. The children are all aged between 7 and 11.
As our children move up through the school they are given extra responsibilities and jobs in their classrooms and around school. This is to help them become more independent and fully prepared for their transition to High School. This includes; Head Girl and Head Boy, Learning Ambassadors, School Council Reps, Office Angels and House Captains. These groups of children make up our Pupil Power which enables our children to share their opinions and ideas with the adults within the school.
Please click on your child’s Class Page to find out more information. This will include what they are currently learning about in class, their current topic, when they have PE, when they have homework and pictures of their classroom. We hope you find these pages really useful.
